You Don't Care - an original
Riding that "emotional rollarcoaster". I penned this original tune in collaboration with my daughter.
We started as friends
Real emotional friends
But somehow that friendship
Just came to an end
The last comment I wrote you
I thought it was fun
Just a little bit trashy
Think I'd finally won
But you just blew me off
And your silence was loud
You made me feel all lost inside
You made me feel like a clown
Now I sit and I wonder
Are we on the same page?
This emotional rollercoaster
Is giving me rage
You don't care, you don't care
I'm becoming aware
That you really don't care

You treat me like dirt
And it's really unfair
You don't care, you don't care
How much more can I take?
How much more do I dare?
You don't care, you don't care
So stop pretending you're there
Cause you really don't care
You may think that it's funny
This game that you play
You once said that you loved me
Do you remember those days?
But now you treat me like a child
I'm tired of playing your fool
Or you completely ignore me
That's really uncool
I guess the time has come to realize
You're not the only game in town
When you write you appease me
But you like to tease me
And honey you're just bringing me down
So I'll just stop my begging you
For one more chance
You're not worth the effort
In a faded romance
Got to close out this chapter
It was too good to be true
But I do have my memories
Of how I loved you
